Microsoft testing night mode for Xbox consoles
Microsoft has begun testing out night mode for Xbox consoles.
The new feature – which is currently only available to Xbox Insiders participating in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring – will allow gamers to dim their screens, as well as their console and controller LED brightness.
In a post on Xbox Wire, Jon, Xbox Program Manager shared: “Night Mode has now been added as a new feature in Settings! Users can now dim and filter their screen, as well as dim their console & controller LED brightness.”
It was also revealed that the feature is currently only available in English as “localization is still pending”.
According to The Verge, players will also be able to set the console to disable HDR when night mode is enabled, and they can also schedule the feature – automatically or manually – to turn on and off at sunset and sunrise.
