Make a difference day 2010- Lakota Pine Ridge Children's Enrichment Project Ltd.
The Lakota Pine Ridge Children's Enrichment Project, Ltd. made the month of October Make A Difference Month for four communities on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Registering our drive on the USA Weekend Dayta-Bank and on Facebook, we had people from all over the world sending children's coats, boots and warm outerwear to Oglala Lakota children living on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Our goal is to keep the children warm so that they can better withstand the brutal winter months, stay healthy and get to school. Thanks to this effort, hundreds of Lakota children know that people from all over the world care about them. Our New York effort alone sent over 1300 pounds of coats and warm outerwear to the children and we have more to send!
