How to Turn Off and On the EV3
There are several weaknesses to note about the new LEGO MIndstorm's EV3 controller block. Complexity (of the wrong, non-problem solving variety) and slowness are the downsides of the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 kit. It's not even obvious how to turn it on (or off). We also don't like the fact that the block is powered by 6 AA batteries.
