Sample libraries are a fantastic tool, but sometimes you can get sample-fatigue, scrolling through endless options. Most samples are already heavily processed as well, giving you limited flexibility. With a $90 used pearl snare, a shore 57 microphone, a Focusrite, and a couple inexpensive plugins, I show you how to create your own sample from scratch. Feel free to use the sample created in this video as well if you'd like: https://tinyurl.com/snare-sample
These are the plugins used in the video:
Waves Audio JJP: https://www.waves.com/plugins/jjp-drums?
Waves Audio CLA2A: https://www.waves.com/plugins/cla-2a-...
Waves Audio HEQ: https://www.waves.com/plugins/h-eq-hy...
Avid D-Verb: https://www.avid.com/plugins/d-verb
The D-Verb is a stock plugin for protools. All of these plugins should work on most popular DAW's, and the process should be very similar. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments! I had fun making this video, hope you enjoy it.
