MAYOR ÇEBİ CAME TO WITNESS AND PROVIDE SUPPORT
Seven citizens were summoned to testify in September for blocking garbage trucks in the Taşönü neighborhood. Following this false allegation, numerous Araklı residents staged a silent protest in front of the Gendarmerie station, declaring they would not yield to pressure.
Mayor Coşkun Çebi, as promised, joined the protest alongside the citizens and supported the public. In his statement, he stated: "These citizens did not engage in any unlawful conduct on the day of the incident, did not block the road, did not harm anyone, and did nothing wrong. I came to testify to this. Furthermore, we reiterate that we always stand with the people of Tasönü and are determined to resolve this issue."
