SHOCK! WHERE IS THE HOLIDAY? CHRISTMAS TREES WITHOUT TOYS IN OUR TOWN / MY GERMAN FRIEND / DRAWING WITH ANGELINA
We strolled around town and already saw a couple of Christmas trees. BARE MINIMALISM! CRAP! But they didn't skimp on the magnificent blue spruce – they cut it down.
And Angelina came to visit, a great artist! She's the daughter of some friends of mine – late settlers. A funny little girl, whose head is currently a jumble of three languages: Russian, German, and French. But when she grows up, she'll speak four languages fluently (plus English as a second foreign language in her later grades). She's my kind and cheerful German teacher.
