In this video, we will go over the Redaction Reasons and Reports in CaseGuard Studio.
To begin, let’s create a new project.
Under the “More Information” section is where the “Name of Requestor,” “Case Number,” and “Date of Request” can be entered.
This information can be added at a later time as well by pinning the “File Log Panel,”
selecting “View,” then “Panels,” clicking “File Log,” and selecting the second icon at the bottom of the pinned Panel.
Add a file to the project.
Apply a Redactions with Redaction Reasons selected and run Automatic Transcription to make audio Redactions from the Analytics Panel.
Click on the Print Reports icon to open the reports for the file.
The Standard Report shows the file name with the additional information, tasks performed on the file, File Log, and metadata.
The File Log can be kept or removed by clicking the icons next to the reports drop-down.
Any of these reports can be printed or exported by clicking the “Print” icon or choosing the file type from the “Export” drop-down menu.
The next report is the Exemption log. This report shows all the Redaction Reasons which are separated to show timestamp, type of file (A for audio, V for video, etc.), material withheld, an explanation of the Redaction Reason, and the legal/statutory basis for the Redaction.
Timestamps can also be stacked by clicking the “stack” icon next to the drop-down menu on this report.
The Object Detection Report will have a list of all the objects that were Redacted. These objects will not show in the exported version of the file reports as they will be Redacted.
Next, the Analytics Report lists out all the selected personally identifiable information found in the file and gives the category as well as the number of instances it appeared in the file.
The Transcription Report has the full transcript of the audio and the exported version will reflect any Redactions made to the audio as well.
The Word Cloud Report shows the most commonly mentioned word from the transcript.
To add your agency’s logo to the reports, go to the “Tools Tab,” then to “Settings,” and add your agency logo.
Happy Redacting!
