After making his way through the laboratory and finally obtaining the G-Virus, Leon Kennedy makes his way back to to meet up with Ada. While running across the bridge of specimen containment room, something massive crashes down through the ceiling, landing on the cold metal floor several meters behind him. It is the massive beast that had been chasing him the entire night. It had a massive claw for an arm and a giant eyeball for a shoulder. The beast roared and stomped on the ground toward him. Leon drew his weapon and braced himself, but before he could even fire a shot. The automatic doors slid opened behind him and Annette Birkin ran inside to aid him in his efforts to stop the beast, with a single-shell grenade launcher in hand.
Annette yelled at the beast, "William!!!" and fired a grenade at it. The shell hit the beast and exploded dousing it in hot, boiling acid. The beast let out a final roaring cry and fell to the ground unconscious. The thump sent a vibration as the weight of the beast hit the cold steel floor of the laboratory bridge. Annette and Leon both sighed with a slight tinge of relief. Annette walked up to the massive behemoth lying on the ground and stared at it. In confusion, Leon asked Annette, "what the hell is this thing," and Annette replied, "it was my husband....."
Annette then began to tell Leon the whole story of how her husband, William was the one who crated the G-Virus and how he had injected himself with it after being shot repeatedly by the company soldiers that Umbrella had sent to steal his research, along with all the samples of the virus he had developed.
