How to fix a damaged InDesign file in six easy steps: You can fix a damaged InDesign file with the Adobe advice we share, here, although they fail in most attempts to fix badly corrupted, crashing, not opening .indd files. This Markzware method is proven to work with a click or two.

Here is how you fix a damaged InDesign file:
1) Download Markzware IDMarkz
2) Open damaged InDesign file in IDMarkz
3) Get Preview. Note Preview may not work well, but file may still recover
4) Click Export and Choose IDML
5) Open that IDMarkz generated IDML in InDesign
6) Your damaged InDesign file is fixed!
