Rabbi Tovia Singer: Why did God speak in the Hebrew language?
Rabbi Tovia Singer receives an interesting call, challenging him regarding the Hebrew language of the bible.
When one reads the bible, they will see that the names are all in Hebrew, even God's name is in Hebrew. The caller asks why does it have to be that the original language of the bible is Hebrew, and thus seem to alleviate a particular culture above all other culture.
The caller continues to point out that even before Abraham realized there was one God, even in the time of Noah, Noah is not a Jew and he had a Hebrew name.
Is Hebrew the original language of the Bible? Did Adam speak Hebrew? Was Hebrew the first language on earth? Did God really speak in the Hebrew language?
