Arc Raiders Is NOT Dead (But Here's Why You THINK It Is)
Seven months in and the doom posts won't stop. The game is dead. No content. It's over. Even some of my own community are losing faith — but when you actually look at the data, and when you understand the psychology behind why people say "this game is dead," a very different picture emerges.
Arc Raiders has 6 million weekly active players. It has sold 15 million copies. It is the 15th most played game on Steam on any given day. Dead games don't do that.
In this video I break down the real player count data, I go through exactly what the 1.33.0 update actually contains (and ask the doom crowd what MORE they actually wanted), and I name the psychological mechanisms — externalisation, fundamental attribution error, ego protection, and fan entitlement behaviour — that explain why people blame the game instead of admitting they've simply moved on.
