Here's is an original BoXoR! These were released in 2004/2005 by Roxor Games.
Originally they were sold as Dance Dance Revolution upgrade kits. The idea is: You remove your Bemani 573 PCB, and replace it with a BoXoR. It has the same dimensions and uses an ITGIO with JAMMA interface to communicate with the DDR Machine (Made by Ultracade). The kit also came with a USB hub which you would drill and mount to the side of the DDR Machine. The original USB hub was EXTREMELY picky about USB devices, it was almost impossible to find a compatible USB stick for the original ITG1 machine. This was later fixed when they rolled out a Dedicated machine later on (Dedicab).

The hardware was not really consistent. You would find a variety of off the shelf components inside, some with or without dedicated video cards.
One thing they all seem to have in common is use of the Realtek ALC655 CODEC.
They all run on a heavily modified version of Debian Linux.

It's interesting to note that the motherboard design choice was similar to Andamiro's MK6 board (GA-8IPE1000MK). This was before their partnership with Andamiro. The initial release of the dedicated cabinets saw a 'Roxor' brand on the cabinet. Later on, they partnered with Andamiro, where the dedicated cabinet would be made by Andamiro. It's also interestign to ntoe that the game was changed up 'Pump It Up In The Groove 2' for the second version of the game

If the motherboard DID NOT have an integrated nforce2 graphics chip, then you would expect to see this video card:
GeForce FX 5200 PCI (128mb is stock)

The computer contains a standard IDE hard disk (usually 40gb or 80gb in size)

256MB or 512MB of DDR RAM

A serial ibutton security dongle.

USB 2.0 Hub (Cypress EZ-USB FX2) on Dedicated cabinets

On May 11, 2005, Konami Corporation sued Roxor Games, Inc. in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging patent infringement, trademark infringement, unfair competition, trademark dilution, and trade dress infringement, under both Federal and Texas law, regarding Konami’s game Dance Dance Revolution.

On August 7, 2006, the Court issued a Markman order construing the patent claims disputed by the parties. The meaning of the claims adopted by the court were, almost without exception, favorable to Konami, and a settlement of the litigation was announced on October 23, 2006. As a result of the settlement, Roxor Games transferred the intellectual property rights for In the Groove to Konami. The settlement gives Konami full control of In the Groove's intellectual property rights.
