While attempting to decode the economy post the COVID-19 crisis, a looming question is what happens with the equity market. They have been up and down on a rollercoaster in terms of reactions to COVID-19. Is there a sense of what a post-COVID-19 economy looks like, especially in the Indian context? There is a degree of bipolarity in terms of movement in the equity market and some of the economic data remains distinctly dismal so, is one part of the story seeing this better and is the other seeing things moving ahead of the curve? Is there a sense of what the stock market movement might be and which one asset class is going to see even more dramatic moves in the next year?

Financial Journalist Mitali Mukherjee, along with Vetri Subramaniam, Head - Equity Funds, UTI Asset Management Company Ltd, explores the tricky questions of what lies ahead for the world economy and is this a big turn for the equity market asset class and does it still remain the most profitable and lucrative asset class to look at?
