Lil' Devil - John Shirley and The Lifers
This video is an excerpt from a longer show which originally aired on August 11, 2021, as a part of the SPAH virtual conference (Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica).

As with all of the other tunes in this set, for this cover of Lil' Devil by The Cult I am using the acoustic diatonic harmonica. The particular tones I get here, however, all come from footpedals… relying heavily on pitch-shifting, EQ, and distortion effects. The pitch shifting intervals are controlled by the new miniMIDI JOYstick, the brainchild of Brendan Power and myself, which is available on Brendan’s website:
