HiveOS Not Detecting GPU? EASY Fix!

Bought a brand new NVIDIA RTX GPU, threw it in a rig, and HiveOS completely failed to detect it? You aren't alone. Out of the box, even the latest HiveOS beta doesn't include the updated 570+ drivers required to recognize the 50-series architecture. The video contains a 5060TI as example, but you can use the instructions to update any card. Go to Nvidia's website and find the download link for the driver you want to install manually in HiveOS.
In this video, I walk you through how to bypass the broken 'nvidia-driver-update' command and manually install the correct NVIDIA .run driver directly via the HiveOS terminal. We'll look at the step-by-step Linux commands needed to fetch the driver, wipe the old conflicting software, compile the new kernel module, and get your rig hashing.

⚠️ COMMANDS USED IN THIS VIDEO (Run via Hive Shell or Putty):
1. Download the driver installer:
wget https://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree8...
2. Make the file executable:
chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-595.80.run
3. Stop the mining services and desktop environment:
sreboot disable && nvidia-cuda-mps-control -d
4. Run the manual installer:
sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-595.80.run --no-drm --disable-nouveau
OPTIONAL: Prevent HiveOS from overwriting this driver
echo "driver-update-disable" | sudo tee /etc/hive/driver-lock
