Spring morel mushrooms are giant, we collect and prepare them in May.
A mushroom-picking trip took place on May 9th in the Istra district of the Moscow region! The goal was giant morels. After combing through several forests, I found my spot. The morels I came across were so huge, it was hard to hold them in one hand! I didn't see any morels or morel caps.
After the mushroom hunt, I cooked giant morels in sour cream; they turned out very tender and delicious.
