What is whisky?
As we all know whisky is an Gentleman’s drink and mostly consumed by mens.
Whisky is the distilled spirit obtained from grains and aged in oak cask.
Whisky is made from distillation of beer.
Whisky takes its name from Gaelic word “uisge beathe" means water of life which is very old drink.
Today whiskies are produced all over the world. The five major producing countries are
Scotland
America
Ireland
Canada
And
Japan
History of Whisky
The history book says whisky appeared in ireland some five hundred years ago.
Some other book says whisky was produced by irish monks during 5th century.
Irish monks were kept the secret of distilling from the middle east and used as a medicine.
According to Irish, Saint Patrick was said to be the father of whisky and the scotch themselves believe that saint Patrick was born in Scotland.

If a whisky is pronounced with an “e" means that whiskey comes from this two countries only.
