Panchali Sabadham from the epic Mahabharatha is dramatically elucidated by the famous tamil poet Subramaniya Bharathiyar. Through his poetry he stresses on the glory of womenhood and establishes that righteousness(Dharma) always prevails. When the Pandavas and Kauravas sat for the game of gambling, with the master manoeuvring and plot of Sakuni, Dharmar loses his kingdom, wealth, his brothers and his wife Panchali. The arrogant Duruyodhana pulls Panchali in to the court of Hasthinapur and humiliated her and commanded his brother Duchadhana to unveil her saree. Panchali a great devotee of lord Krishna prays and surrenders at this time of great distress. Lord Krishna comes to rescue his devotee in danger. Panchali vows to take revenge on Kauravas and so goes the Mahabharatha.
