As the World Turns won a GLAAD Media Award March 28, 09 in the category "Outstanding Daily Drama". Van Hansis and Jake Silbermann accepted the award. The other nominee was All My Children. The GLAAD Media Awards honor media for their representation of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders and the issues that affect their lives.

ATWT won the first GLAAD Outstanding Daytime Drama award given to a soap for their gay storyline featuring Hank Eliot, played by Brian Starcher, who was daytimes first openly gay male character.
Here is a shout out to GLAAD from the guys, and Van seems to have had a few drinks. Perhaps this was done during the cocktails and silent auction.

Jake Silbermann (Noah, As The World Turns) will be one of the celebrities appearing at Love Out Loud, a fundraiser for this years AIDS Walk New York. The event, during which celebrities take the stage and perform musical numbers, is on Wednesday, May 13th at Prohibition in Manhattan. AIDS Walk New York is a few days later, on Sunday May 17th.

The actors who will play fraternal twins, Zac and Zoe, in the Luke/Noah storyline (SOD) Nicholas Galbraith plays Zac. Melinda Sullivan plays Zoe. They come to help with the foundation but Zac may become part of a triangle with Luke and Noah. Zac and Zoe start airing on thursday, April 2. Next week, there are funds missing from the foundation and Noah is trying to fixed a down computer. That is when Zac kisses Noah. Noah is freaked out and immediately tells Luke. Luke isn't happy, but believes Noah when he says it meant nothing. Van says Noah is so straight laced that he'd never be interested in a guy like Zac. Luke, however, is another story. The ZZ twins pull a prank on Damian and Luke starts to find the ZZ's more appealing than his BF does. Zac and Zoe appeal to Luke's immature side. Noah thinks the ZZ's could be trouble, possibly dangerous, but Luke isn't listening.
