Sai Baba's Oneness with Lord Hanuman
In this special podcast, Vinnyji speaks about Sai Baba's affinities with Lord Hanuman.
Referencing Shankar Bhatt's Sripada Srivallabha Charitra, Vinnyji suggests that Baba's oneness with Hanuman and -- according to the principle of Advaita -- with Sri Dattatreya is alluded to in the chapter that announces Lord Hanuman's birth in the Kaliyug. Like Lord Hanuman, Sai Baba was simple and wore no jewellery. Both loved Ram Jaap and adored Shri Ram.
The mention of Sri Ram offers Vinnyji the opportunity to expound on Baba's reverence of the Vishnu Sahasranamam, as illustrated in a leela in which Baba aids a devotee by explaining how the chanting of the sacred mantra “Sri Rama Rama Rameti Rame Rame Manorama; Sahasranama Tattulyam Rama Nama Varanane” offers the benefits of the Vishnu Sahasranamam.
Finally, through the narration of another leela, Vinnyji underscores the importance that Baba accorded to the Hanuman Chalisa.
