Spark AR - 3D Modeling - Blockout (Masterclass Chapter 4)
This lesson is a big one! We start building out the robot by blocking out the major shapes. At first, we don't want to focus on small details so we can work nimbly. If you don't have Cinema 4D, you can still use the same principles in other 3D software like Blender or 3ds Max.
Extrude
The process of duplicating polygons, usually pushed along their normal direction.
Cloner
An object that clones a source object along a linear or radial path.
Symmetry
Using a Symmetry object, you only need to model half of an object so long as it is symmetrical. If you eventually need to add asymmetrical detail, bake it down and continue working on the solid mesh.
