FEARED - Possessed (Guitar cover) - Pod HD500+SIR2
Been wanting to cover this ever since I entered the Feared Mixing competition earlier this year, and since I managed to get a tone pretty close to Ola Englund's, I figured I'd give it a shot. I did have to use impulses however, and I even had to get a friend of mine to make an impulse based on Ola's cab. Anyways, I'd could write a book on how I made the tone.. :P
I'm just using the Pod HD500 for the tone, using 2 XLR cables (left and right) into my Zoom R16 then into Reaper via USB. No cabs are used on the Pod, only in Reaper. No post EQ either, just Pod and SIR2. I am using 2 different impulses, but that's because I have 2 different amps in the signal chain. The bass, drums, and vocals in the mix are stem tracks I made from the mixing competition, all the guitars were played by me.
The guitar I'm using is and Ibanez XPT700, with a DiMarzio X2N in the bridge.
