Buying Vintage Fur...Why is it so Controversial?
When so many things we own in todays modern world have stemmed from something cruel, whether its working conditions, environmental cost, or animal welfare - Why is it only fur that causes an outrage?...even if it's bought second hand or vintage?
I wanted this video to start a discussion - I look at second hand fashion as a fresh start for the items. So many pieces of clothing may have had cruel beginnings (which in todays world is completely unacceptable). In the words of PETA People can’t tell the fur’s backstory by looking at it, so wearing any fur is essentially a pro-fur billboard - But isn't this the case with everything we wear...do we ever truly know the backstory?
