Having Fun with Digitone’s FM Synthesizer
I just received my new Elektron Digitone yesterday and I’ve been enjoying the synth engine so much, I haven’t even learned to program patterns. I love how there’s a “Harmonics” feature that you can change the operators’ waveform from a basic sine wave to something more complex and rich in harmonics. You can even use an LFO to sweep the waveform creating quasi wavetable like timbres.
I chose algorithm 2 which has 2 audible operators, each with a modulator and you can mix between the 2. The “Y” part has instant attack and “X” fades in.
