A mysterious and provocative journey, Unearthed Chants is a presentation of Five expertly crafted dark psychedelic mid-tempo trance tracks, marking IooN Cosmic Downtempo's third album release on the Mindspring imprint.
Reflecting an even more refined mastery of musical tact and maturity, Jonny Galluccio presents us with the same signature, pristine, and intricate, production style as we heard from 2019's Brave New Earth, and 2021's Moonlight Garden, but, from a different angle. This time, we are guided on a more ethereal, minimal, and subtle, journey than the previous two.
Still expressing the same melodic beauty and emotional textures, this release takes refuge under the shade of a darker, more minimal, ethereal, ambient umbrella. We find ourselves in an auditory journey that is at times dark, playful, while otherworldly. In addition to the lush, emotionally provocative soundscapes, there are plenty of melodies to discover - woven throughout fields of darker sonic expanses, in a playful, yet deliberate, manner.
Tapping into something ancient and overwhelmingly powerful, these tracks are a progressive and patient delivery of deep, suspenseful, and ethno-conscious soundscapes. They evoke something deep, familiar, and fundamental, within us; it feels almost like nostalgia, or deja vu, expertly expressed through modern day, cutting edge, electronica production.
