Most FNaF fan games have long ceased to impress, pumping out high-quality but repetitive content. Take Forgotten at Fredbear's, for example—good visuals, plot, and atmosphere, but nothing special. But back then, every other parody was pure madness: TRTF with its four installments and a sea of scandals, Five Nights at the Krusty Krab with its clunky renders, Jellylime with its stream of half-baked games every two months. Bizarre? Yes. But that's precisely what made it so appealing. You won't find anything like that in the mainstream these days, but behind the scenes, the FNaF scene still retains that spirit of trashy recklessness. It's called runsomeware: games that mimic real FNaF, balancing between a full-fledged video game and an analog horror game.
