Join me, Raymond Camden, API Evangelist at Foxit, as I walk you through how to automate Microsoft Office to PDF conversions using the Foxit PDF Services API.
In this tutorial, I’ll show how easy it is to convert Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files into PDFs with just a few lines of code. We'll use Pipedream for this example, but you can plug this into your favorite automation platform—n8n, Power Automate, or anything else that suits your workflow.
We'll also use Dropbox to handle file movement and Python for the logic, but these are just stand-ins—you can swap in whatever tools make sense for your stack.
🧠 What you’ll learn:
How to detect Office files and send them to the PDF Services API
How to convert DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX into clean, reliable PDFs
How to send the final output wherever you need it (Dropbox, cloud storage, etc.)
