Newsshooter at BVE 2016: Convergent Design Odyssey and Apollo support 6G-SDI
At the BVE show in London, Convergent Design were showing the latest firmware versions of the Odyssey 7Q+ recorder and Apollo recorder/switcher. This brings 6G-SDI support and allows the recently launched Blackmagic Micro Studio camera 4K and some other Blackmagic cameras to be used to record 4K. The Apollo switcher, or an Odyssey 7Q+ with Apollo upgrade, can record two similtaneous 4K signals with common timecode, which should make multi-camera shooting much easier.
