Derrick Howarth (Part 1)
Derrick Howarth reads a poem he wrote whilst working in the Merchant Navy. The poem, 'Christmas Day at 30 West', describes his feelings whilst travelling home in unforgiving weather on Christmas Day. The second poem read by Derrick was written by Denis Wilson and shares memories of 'Old Salford'.
