Two things we need to know:
1. Super conductivity phenomena hold the property of no current resistance. so no energy lose.
2. If we set an external magnetic field on a closed conductive loop (ring! in our case) and change the magnetic field, currents will appear such that the total field will be unchanged (because currents produce magnetic field).
we use the non energy lose and the field conservation to lock a magnetic field in a super conductive material (our material: YBCO - Yttrium barium copper oxide).
The YBCO regularly is a non conductive material. It become superconductive at about 90 Kelvin (which is about 183 Celsius). so we need to freeze he's ass to put him in SUPER CONDUCTIVE PHASE (which make him conductive...)
We use a MAGNET to induce constant external field and then we remove it. Removing the field is basically a change in the magnetic field through the YBCO ring. Field conservation cause currents to show up and they Produce a MAGNETIC FIELD!!
So we transformed a non magnetic material into a magnetic material which can hold forever and ever and ever as long there is no energy lose.
good luck .
