Asset protection is the process by which you change title to certain of your holdings, putting it into a solution so that if down the road you find yourself in a lawsuit or threatened with a lawsuit, the assets that have been transferred into these solutions are not readily available to a creditor. And what that will do for you, it will provide an incentive for the other side to discuss settlement negotiations because most attorneys do not want to spend their time, money, and effort litigating against you to get a judgment only to have that judgment be unenforceable because the assets which you used to hold are now held in structures that protect those assets from those claimants.
