The Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle discusses the life of Manche Masemola, a young Pedi woman who persued her belief in Christiannity but who was killed by her parents for her beliefs.

A statue of Manche Masemola can be found above Westminster Abbey's Great West Door. This statue is one of the Abbey's ten modern martyrs of the 20th-century. The modern martyrs represent Christians who gave up their lives for their beliefs.

This sermon is part of the Noble Army of Martyrs series, which marks the 25th anniversary of statues' installation. The sermons will focus on the lives of those depicted, their ongoing resonance, and legacy for the Church.
