Different layout to increase the size and shape of the game feed. Using an overlap on the corner doesn't remove anything vital from the underlying feed but does provide more game detail. Voice audio also has a high pass filter to reduce bass frequencies on the voice channel in a bit to separate it from the game audio and add a little extra clarity.
