Most Kubernetes beginners deploy their apps using plain HTTP, but that’s a huge security risk! In this video, I’ll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes application using NGINX Ingress and TLS, the same method used in real-world production setups across CNCF ecosystems.
You’ll learn how to:
1. Deploy a simple NGINX web app using Deployment
2. Expose it internally with a ClusterIP Service
3. Set up NGINX Ingress for external access
4. Generate a self-signed TLS certificate with OpenSSL
