The Miracle of Dhikr! - Khalid Basalamah
Allah Ta'ala tells about the Messenger and his companions in His words,
God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَقَالُوا God bless you
"(Namely) those (who obey Allah and the Messenger) to whom there are people who say, "Indeed, humans have gathered an army to attack you, therefore be afraid of them", then those words increase their faith and they answer, "hasbunallah wa ni'mal wakiil [Allah is sufficient as our Helper and Allah is the best Protector]." (QS. Ali 'Imron: 173)
According to Ibn 'Abbas' friend, he said that "hasbunallah wa ni'mal wakiil" was what the Prophet 'Ibrahim 'alaihis salaam said when he wanted to be thrown into the fire. While the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said this sentence in the verse,
God bless you God willing Allah is the Most Gracious
"Indeed, mankind has gathered forces against you, so fear them." This statement strengthened their faith, and they replied, "Allah is sufficient for us, and Allah is the Best Protector." (Narrated by Bukhari, no. 4563)
