Porto Viro, the city's new face according to Mario Mantovan
Sixty days at the helm of the municipality: between maintenance, security, territorial unification, and dreams of sustainable industrial development.
Just over two months have passed since Mario Mantovan became mayor of Porto Viro. An experienced figure, with a long career as local police commander behind him, he now finds himself leading a central city in the Po Delta. We met with him to take stock and understand his future prospects.
You know your citizens well, having worked in this city as municipal police commander. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Portoviresi?
The people of Portovirago are honest, hardworking, and enterprising. They aren't afraid to take risks; they take out loans and investments to start a business. They don't give up at the first obstacle and work hard to build a better future. They're a community that looks forward with determination. Sure, there are some flaws, but their desire to succeed and resourcefulness are qualities that are recognized even from outside.
