In this video we will design a PID and a Neural Network aircraft flight controller using Simulink and Python, and deploy it with C++ on two embedded microcontrollers running concurrently, to represent a real world Hardware in the Loop distributed test. I will also explain the Neural Network development and training process in PyTorch.
I will use an Arduino Uno and an ESP32 microcontroller, however any I2C chip will work (e.g Arduino Nano / Mega / Raspberry Pi).
You will also learn how to send microcontroller data in real time to your PC and then use it in FlightGear. The Python package PySerial will be used to achieve this.
