The Pharaoh's curse is a fungus, Aspergillus flavus, which produces the carcinogenic toxin aflatoxin and thrives in conditions where face masks are worn for extended periods. This is apparently unknown to the public, and thus we will face an immense health problem in the not-too-distant future.
