Remove Glare With a Polarizing Filter for Video - iPhone Filmmaking Equipment. How to Get Ahead in iPhone Videography with A CPL Filter to remove glare and reflections from water and glass.

If in your videos you want to remove reflections eliminate the sun's glare, reduce haze and make the sky look more beautiful, you'll want to include a circular polarizer filter, a CPL, or simply a polarizer in your kit bag. You can pick one up on Amazon for about 10 to $15.
The CPL is a piece of polarizing glass mounted in a ring so it can be rotated in front of the camera lens. It's that rotation that changes how much of the effect you're adding to the shot.

The polarizer reduces the amount of scattered light entering the camera lens, and the effect depends on the angle between your subject and the light, typically that's the Sun. You get the maximum effect from polarizer when the angle between the Sun and your subject is 90 degrees. When the angle drops to zero or increases to 180 degrees the effect will be minimal. So shooting in the direction of the Sun, or in the opposite direction to the Sun, you'll see no or little effect.
Attach the polarizer to the iPhone by using a clip mount. Carefully
attach the polarizer to the plastic clip mount and then it's ready to clip onto your iPhone. Look through the front of the polarizer to check that it is centered over the iPhone's lens.
