After Effects Template: Angkor Wat Cube – Ancient Stone Temple Ruins Cube
Angkor Wat Cube is a 14-second-long cambodian temple ruins logo stinger After Effects template with editable colors, part of the Power Cubes series. The story behind the Power Cubes is that they are 4-Dimensional prisons that use a 4 dimensional box or Tesseract to hold a magical creature, element or simply a concept such as futurism or mechanics. Originally meant only for the four elements from ancient Greece; Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Spirit, the cubes proved to be incredibly versatile to embody all kinds of concepts so I decided to turn it into a series; The Power Cubes. Which, originally was going to be “The Power Spheres”, which was originally loosely based on a previous After Effects template I made called “The Alchemist” ( • The Alchemist (Original VFX Intro Template... ), but when I decided to turn it into a series encompassing so much more than just the original 4 elements (plus Spirit) it made so much more sense to use cubes instead.
Angkor Wat Cube represents the ancient ruins of the Cambodian temple of Angkor Wat, I honestly have no idea why I made it, but I thought that the faces from Angkor Wat stuck on a Power Cube would look absolutely fantastic and they do.
The 3D animation for this particular After Effects template features Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials, along with a few cheats to cut down on rendering times, which go perfect with the fantastic theme of the logo animation, making it look slightly cartoonish.
