You will never believe what I saw on my recent client's resume - a job from the 1980s. Ugh, whyyyy!?!?!?!
And I hate to say it, but as a professional resume writer, I see this mistake a lot, especially with my seasoned professionals who have been working for over 20 years.
A big misconception about resumes is that it needs to list each job you've ever held in your life on it. WRONG! A resume is a tailored and targeted document that should be, AT MAXIMUM, 2 pages (and I did record a video on this).
With that being said, this means that you will not have enough space to list ALL of your jobs, only a few. Meaning you'll only need to go back so far into your job history so everything fits.
And that's where this video comes in!
In just 5 minutes I break down:
How far back into your job history you should go on your resume
Why listing jobs PAST the recommended year in this video can hurt you in your job search
Reasons why listing past jobs that are not relevant can result in wasted space
