Steps to delete Instagram account in 2023:
First, open the Instagram app on your Android phone or iPhone.
Tap on your profile icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Tap on the three lines icon (Menu), then select Settings and privacy
Tap Account Center, then in the next page select Personal details.
Tap Account ownership and control.
Tap Deactivation or deletion.
Select the account that you want to delete.
Select Delete account then tap Continue.
Select why you want to delete your account, then tap Continue.
Enter your password, then tap Continue.
Tap Delete account and your Instagram account will be permanently deleted.
