Hey Beautiful people. Thank you for clicking on this video. In this video I point out key things that a lay person should pay attention to before building in Ghana. Building can be expensive and the last thing anyone wants to spend on is breaking walls to make corrections that could have been avoided at the planning phase of the project, or worse, live with the mistakes.
I point out that every building project should have Working Drawings. I illustrate the various things to pay attention to on the working drawings, and what to discuss with your architect or contractor to ensure that the drawings will give you your desired building. One might ask the point of knowing all this if you’re using an architect or interior designer. The reason you should know all this as a lay person or as the occupant of the space is that, you know exactly what you want the experience to be in that space for yourself and other users.
In this video I focus on floor plans and the various elements to pay attention to on a floor plan.
I explain what space planning is and how to walkthrough the layout of your floor plan. I talk about the 3 key things to think about as you walk through your floor plan, security, privacy and convenience.

Living Room
Dining Room
Guest Toilet
Kitchen
Bedroom w/ Bathroom.
Finally I mention the 4 things to pay close attention to on the floor plan which will greatly affect the experience within your space.

Placements – Furniture & Built-ins
