Making of a Rustic Torched Flag with Army Logo
The Army logo is one that I have used before. I carved it using only an 1/8" bit. It is easy to use the same file and change the bits even using two stage carving can be done with the same file. The stars were created VCarve Desktop and the gcode was sent to the Easel software. To make the flag I used 2x4s and resawed them to size. This was less expensive than using the furring strips. I also decided to use the new feature in Easel called the rasper toolpath. It maintains the x,y on the machine regardless of how you orient the design.
