With a focus on capturing the hard-hitting, reel-to-reel drum sound of the Funk era, this break library features samples inspired by legendary artists and drummers such as James Brown, Clyde Stubblefield, Bernard Purdie, and James Gadson, among others.
The samples in this collection were captured using vintage gear, including a 70's reel-to-reel AKAI tape, a 60's MIJ drum set, 50's Zildjian cymbals, and 70's Sennheiser microphones. The result is a warm, authentic sound that perfectly captures the essence of classic soul music.
In total, Soul Sessions contains 220 files, including drum breaks, raw fills, one-shots, and percussion loops. All of these samples are BPM labeled and formatted as 24-bit WAV files, making them compatible with all DAWs and samplers.
