Deuxième single tiré de 1975, le nouvel album de Malted Milk, "Better Now" est une chanson à l’ambiance joyeuse et entraînante qui traite pourtant d’un sujet douloureux et maintes fois abordé dans le blues et la soul, celui de la rupture amoureuse. Si le chanteur Arnaud Fradin dresse ici un constat d’échec, il tente néanmoins de dégager le caractère positif de cette situation. Dans ce clin d’œil non dissimulé à "Brown Eyed Girl" de Van Morrison, Malted Milk quitte un instant les terres du sud rural pour s’immerger, sans s’y perdre totalement, dans l’univers plus flamboyant de la northern soul.
