With guest Dale McInnis: Db2 customers currently running AIX have a challenge when then plan to migrate to a cloud based environment. All major cloud vendors provide X86 Linux support whereas AIX support is only available on IBM Cloud through the Power Server Virtual Server offering. As such, the majority of customers planning on migrating to an cloud environment will be required to migrate the database to an X86 Linux deployment. This presentation will examine several aspects of such a migration, e.g. how it affects HA, how to physically move the data as well as what would be the required amount to resources to run the same workload in an X86 environment.
