Building a Multi Grid Printer as a German Engineer - Space Engineers E28
This is part 1 of a small multi-part series of us building a Multi Grid Printer - a 3D printer that can print small as well as large grid vehicles and itself is composed out of multiple grids, i.e. a Multi Grid Printer. The printer itself is inspired by real-world 3D printers and we use rotor wheel suspensions (similar to rotor wheel elevators) to decouple and move along guide rails in the different dimensions. To speed up the build we also construct and put into service a small weld ship!
