Real World Power Bi Use Case | Saving a Client $11,520
In this video I break down the real world Power BI project that my students are working through this semester at Greensboro College. Charlie, one of my former consulting clients is now working as a Fractional CFO and the students will be helping one of his clients optimize one of their business processes.
Currently the task of paying their income tax takes roughly one employee 4 days a month. My students are challenged with creating an automated system leveraging Power BI to automate this task using the data modeling and visualization features of Power BI. Once the students are done, this employee will be able to log into their Power BI server, select the right dashboard and find the specific tax they need to pay with a click of the mouse.
This is a great example of what Power BI can do out in the real world. Not all analytics use cases need to be big insights... sometimes just improving a process can be a big win!
