sudo chmod +x ./eclipse
sudo ./eclipse
Eclipse Shortcut -
1. Install Gksu -
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool...
sudo apt install ./libgtop-2.0-10_2.32.0-1_amd64.deb
wget https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/ubunt...
sudo apt install ./libgksu2-0_2.0.13~pre1-6ubuntu8_amd64.deb
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool...
sudo apt install ./gksu_2.0.2-9ubuntu1_amd64.deb
2. Then, run:
gksu gedit /usr/share/applications/eclipse.desktop
3. Add in Gedit -
For 64 bit -
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Eclipse
Exec=gksudo application path
Icon=application icon path
Categories=Application
Type=Application
Terminal=false
4. Run following command in terminal:
sudo apt-get update
